Wow, just gorgeous. Is it bad manners to ask the approximate range of Mr. Hurst's work? I have a LC Smith that I would like to have engraved, but I have absolutely no idea what something like this would cost.

Dang, Gil, that's about the purtiest little quail picture I ever saw on a gun. You're "moving on up" as George Jefferson used to say.

I have several but I do not know how to put it on this site. I should have the gun soon. Ken did an excellent job for me.

Thanks guys --- I'm getting swelled headed. Will be happy to discuss ideas with anyone interested in calling me, the numbers beneath my name at bottom of post. I work seven days a week & 10-14 hours a day so am easy to reach. Give me a call and we can kick your ideas around.

Thanks Mr. brent --- client lives in Az. so I wanted to do a quail he would see there instead of the usual bobwhite. Mr Gill sent me pictures of various quail found in his area and allowed me to pick one. The Gambrel seemed to offer the most interesting color patterns & that cute little feather on top of it's head. They do seem kinda cute until you are trying to hunt them and all they due is scurry like mice from one patch of cholla to another. Damn things fly twice a year at most I think.

Has Mr. Ken been hanging out with the Italians? I like these more than a lot of that bulino portraiture. I also like the way he frames and separates the animacules from the ivy.

Thanks Mr. Rabbit --- glad you liked it. I tried to creat a frame for the quail that would have been popular during the time that the gun was made. I realize that the scroll wouldn't match with what was done then but the detail in the bird wouldn't match either. ken

I hope the pictures come through, I'm new to this photography business.
