I have a 1916 Ithaca catalog it list the1.5 and lower guns having black walnut stocks higher grades just nicely finished walnut stocks.this is the fox and turkey cover.

With my camera issues-I may have to wait til
the next Southern SXS at Sanford to sell this fine Ithaca.
It is also an extractor gun. It most probably is black walnut, but
the burl crotch figure looks Circassian as in some of the Parker/Fox early guns.
