Jack: George L has a Long Room (conference room), not quite as elegant as Purdey's, at his office where anyone who wishes can make an appointment to come by to view the guns of his choice. He also has a few acres nearby where that person can try the gun at targets.Names can be confusing, individuals less so.

Best Regards, George Lander

George, I think when a good man lets others drive him out we all lose. Yes some of these guys have a bad habit of getting ugly. However, look how many more are here who have not joined in.

We certainly need to remember the gemtlemanly influence of Bill Wise, Oscar Gaddy.

I have followed the harassment of George L.- ever since he posted the long list of guns for sale. Some of us are not as thickskinned as others but I think he was treated unfairly by several here. I guess those of us with a few nice old guns are "investors and collecters" and those with dozens are the sneaky dishonest dealers. To connect him up to Ed1 is completely unfair. What if he had not read the post and not disavowed any connection with Ed1. As far as the long list of guns the site owner had no problem with it and said so.

Why don't we pick on some real villains for a change - Usama or pro gun control politicians or WD40?

Best,

Mike

Well spoken, Mike. I think you summed up nicely what a lot of us (the silent majority) have been feeling.

Hmmm...

The stock wod merchants with whom I have dealt from this board have been straight up guys, and I have gotten better than I expected in terms of quality and looks.
