Sorry, but as I've read and studied almost every John Grisham novel, I am of the opinion that the term "predatory" applies to 90% of the lawyers extant- possible exception might be patent attorneys. Lawyers prey on the uneducated, just as sharks do on baitfish (and swimmers)-- FWIW- as I have been a jury foreman twice since 2000- Grisham's novel "Runaway Jury" was a great study in jury selection and human behavior under the stress of a big-buck civil action. Great read, I highly recommend it. And as both College football and NFL are part of the Fall, I just finished reading one of John's lesser known novels: "Playing For Pizza. Just as Stephen King has an "insiders" understanding of baseball, Grishman does with football.
Lawyers, with a few exceptions, are like whale scheise- at the bottom of the ocean. RWTF

Nope--Dogs and shotguns go together like sippin' whiskey and branch water. Everyone approaches such a subject from their own viewpoints and experience levels in life. IMO, the concern about Dartmouth suing Dave and this website for whatever cockamanie reasons seems strange to me, what would they gain? No one, nor no entity brings a civil suit unless they stand heavy odds to win, over and above the lawyer's "heavy Vig"-- Fact of life.. RWTF

By the way, lots of civil cases are handled by lawyers who just charge for their time and dont take a cut of the proceeds. I think you watch too much late night tv when the plaintiifs attorneys advertise.
