I'm afraid we won't be seeing that gun, if it really still exists, in anybody's auction. Nobody's going to "come in from the cold" and face the music on this one. Lowell, you want to bid on Bo-Whoop, you'll need to be willing to meet in secret with some people in one of those smoke-filled rooms with heavy leather furniture you keep talking about. Like George L. did.
Bet they make you sign a pledge not to take any pictures though and never to post a report of the matter on the internet. I truly hope Buckingham's original Bo-Whoop makes it back into the mainstream some day. If it does, you pose a good question...What WOULD it be worth to own...Geo

Fair warning gentlemen - a quarter of a million going - once - twice - sold? I would have thought the Parker bunch to take-up the fight. Where was the Charltansville's money? This is a gun for history and the hammer won't fall so fast as the loose change was being counted in the pockets.

If it had a rock solid provenance behind it I think it would zoom right past the Czar's gun--easily. Sad part is it should be donated to DU for the sum of $1.00. It is a part of every hunters legacy.

From where I see it---It will bring a Federal charge of conspiracy and a Southern judge's book being thrown. Best, John

Could be, could be John - but lets pretend it goes to auction. I can think of no other sxs shotgun that is more famous than Bo-Whoop here in America. Play along!

Thorny, If we are to "play along", apparently the only thing which would ensue would be a bunch of litigation. I imagine the "finder" would get something, but who knows? The lawyers should do well. Jake
