Just a note in case you can't locate any .404 cases, .......find some .338 Ultramag and fire form them out to .404, ....just a couple thou short!

I didn't have a method to form a false shoulder on the .404 brass so I used a long heavy cast bullet that engaged the rifling to hold the cartridge in place.
