I picked this up yesterday. I see they are still in bussiness but looks like the are in the high end gun sales now. This feels like a pretty nice rifle in the hand. I think it has been reblued and the stock refinished or replaced. What do you guys think? I can't find any proof marks only a ton of inspection stamps.

That rifle was probably built for an American service man serving in Germany. I would assume it was a high numbered Springfield, although the serial number appears to have been covered up by the front scope base. It is the first 03 I have ever seen with a butter knife bolt handle. There was no reason for it to be proof fired, since it still has the original barrel with groove to indicate where the rear sight once was located. It could well be a shooter.

Looks like a re-stock to me. At least not a "European" stocker.

I had to adjust the scope for closer yardages. I have it sighted in at 100yards now and it shoots very well. Thanks for the replies.
