Wow! That's a lot of very fine work!
Is there a reason you put the hammer on one side or the other? Maybe for a lefthand shooter on the left side?

Thanks
Well, in some cases because I had the locks (#1 and 5) as a pair.
But really because the left lock was an Alex Henry "signature" thing, just like the groove in the fore-end.
I am a Henry fan.. Alex that is.

Thanks for the pictures, Oldstarfire.
Very nice, looks like several years work and well done.
British rifles set a very high standard.

Pics of the action closed and open.
Slot in top tang is for sliding safety.
Steel blocks in pics are for support, not part of rifle.

Where did you buy the drawings for the action ? I was looking for engineering drawings for a british action for ages and found little. American actions like the rolling block or the sharps can be found, but british stuff is gold dust.

Mine come from my own computer (AutoCad) as needed.

I believe there are some drawings available for some Brit actions, but I cant help there.
One possible source of info would be a query on the ASSRA forum.
