Don't often post here mostly a lurker. But that is probably the nicest looking 22 martini this old guy has ever seen. Thanks for posting. Frank

I guess the patchbox could be used for extra ammo?? Iron sight apertures?

Gorgeous job. Any idea who did the stock work?
Is that a Francotte action? The takedown looks considerably different than the BSAs or the Cadet actions. Is the lever on the left side a safety?
A Unertl scope? If so, what power?
Is the rear action tang drilled and tapped for a peep sight?

The lack of a safety on the Martinis is their biggest drawback in my opinion. I had a very nice one but there was no safety and that limited it's uses.

When I carry a Martini in the woods I simply let the lever/block droop with a cartridge seated firmly in the chamber. As Mork would have said "it only takes a nano-nano second to close things up and shoot."

Gary, I did that, and it works. Mostly. Until you fold a case in half. Certainly doable, but not ideal in my book.
This is a lovely rifle and almost certainly accurate as all get out. Mine was too.

Sydney:
That's darn nice work.
I'm holding a reworked action against the day when I can have a custom rifle built on it. I could do far worse than use yours as a model.
