It's an Eleven bore with the finest 28 & 1/4" Laminated Steel barrels man has ever seen. The front bead is an extension of the rib. Perfect bores with .030 minimum wall thickness, original nipples. The oil can still contains the ancient whale oil.
The stock dimensions are 14 & 1/2", 1 & 1/2" and 2 & 1/8".
The reason I sold it...I thought it too nice to shoot. I'm glad to have it back and plan on trying to wear the barrels out shooting it.

Very nice gun. I'm sure you won't make the same mistake twice, but if you ever want to sell.... Congratulations!

A W&C Scott Premier. It came home again.

A Sarasqueta SLnE. It is home again.

A A.H. Fox AE set up as pigeon gun. It should be home in a few weeks.

A Lefever F Grade. I know where it is, but it hasn't come home yet.

WOW! Congrats on getting that back. Go ahead and shoot it just don't use too much of the whale oil... that takes cool accessories to a whole new level. Very nice.

Lovely EXIBITION piece to put on display in your library/cigar roon. Gee, you're not going to shoot this 160+ year old Betsy?

I hope you will share how it patterns with us. Curiosity, ya know. I'm guessing there is no choke at all, but some of those older guns shot quite well just the same.

From the looks of the bbl.'s refraction in your second photo, someone sure enjoyed using it in a previous life. No reason you can't as well.

PJ that's what they're made for...to shoot. Who ever did the refinish did a beautiful job.

No choke. I've owned only three vintage muzzleloaders all patterned beautifully at about 30 yards. I shot this gun several times on a Sporting Clays course before I sold/traded it...I did fairly well with it then. My shooting has improved so I should do better with it now.
