Check this out: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...mp;mode=viewGunSeems a bit much for a $3500 gun, doesn't it? Check out some of their other prices: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores...p;viewMode=listI hope someone misplaced the decimal point when they were entering these prices. Or maybe this is a late April Fool's Day joke? If they selling them for that much, I wonder how much they're paying these guns? I think I need to make a call and see if they want to buy a few things... OWD

Agreed, they are very high. And the guns are overpriced too.

Check the American shotguns too. Several $3000+ Nitros, and a $1300+ Fulton.

I guess that makes the $300 bucks I just paid for a 16 ga. Nitro Special the bargain of the decade. Can't somebody email these jerks and wake them up? They are an embarrasment to the used gun market. A guy who is one of the gun-counter people at our local Bass Pro Shop made a remark on the firing line during a trap shoot. He said he'd had some issues with his SKB O/U but that "after all, it is 30 years old." I laughed and told him a good gun was still an infant at that age. The Nitro Special I was using that day was 84 years old and tight as a drum. Chops

I just bought new Parker Gun Identification & Serialization for $8.74 at one of their stores. I also picked up a nice leather slip-on recoil pad for one of my guns. Why do some people expect expert knowledge at salary BPS or $abela's pay their employees? "muuucho loooco"!

These are shotguns. Ergo, pricing is by the "shotgun" approach. That is my story and I'm sticking with it.
Jm - I was going to ask if you think they allow their counter personnel to set prices, but you may be right.

I've probably made fun of these guys(Crapbelas and BPS)too much but......they deserve it!!! On another note, check out the Browning Cynergy at the top of the British gun list. Someone tried to make the stock look semi-normal!!

Indeed they did, Ken... instead of selling it to someone who would appreciate it for what it is. I must protest in the name of the hyper-moderns. Who has the right to butcher a modern innovation to the point that the whole character of the gun is lost? A Cynergy without an Inflex pad? Why? Might as well have a bench seat in a Corvette or fixed landing gear on your F-18.
On the serious side... I really miss the point of that modification... ugly the pad may be, but it cuts the felt recoil way down. It really works..

Not counter clerks, but I think they have dude that speaks like an Englishman. Isn't his name is Mr. Tooth? He may even be from England. Honestly I don't know who determines prices at $abelas or BPS. It it the Leprechauns in back office? Gee, perhaps each gun comes with tiny pot of gold?
