All,
A few questions on the Skeeters:
1. Is there any info on the manufacture dates/records for Iver Johnson Guns/Skeeters
2. The gun is marked on the bottom of the barrel flats w/ CY and CY on both sides, has anyone seen these markings on the Skeeters? I am assuming it is for Cylinder as the gun is choked as such.
3. The Frame appears to have been case colored, not blued. Were any of the Skeeter frames case colored?
4. Did Iver Johnson use the Miller SST trigger from the factory?

My 12ga Skeetr is choke marked 'C' right bbl.
and 'O' left bbl.

Cylinder and Double Secret Cylinder I guess.

Or something on the order of the 'Regular Skeet Boring' mentioned in the flyer above.

The C on the right barrel means "choke" and the left barrel is open.
The Skeeters were set up to fire the choked barrel at the outgoing skeet target and the left barrel was fired at the incomer.

Thanks Dave, Kutter, Pete, very helpful.

I picked up this Skeeter a couple of weeks ago. 20 ga. Straight stock, BTFE, ejectors, Miller SST, most of the case color is gone. As I mentioned above the barrel flats (left & right) are marked “CY”. With my gauge I measure the chokes at 3 Thousandths (right) and 2 Thousanths (left) so about as cylinder/open skeet as it can get. Brett

My Skeeter .410 is marked "C" on the right barrel for choke and "O"
on the left barrel for open.
