There has been some discussion in a recent thread about attributing
an 1903 NRA sporter that has been restocked to Robert Milhoan. I thought about tacking this on to that thread, but decided to start a new thread instead. I own a 1903 sporter that was done by Robert Milhoan. It is discussed in this thread

My Milhoan

Milhoan did mark his work, on my rifle it is on the rear sight ramp.
He also did a number of things, that aren't easily visible from the pictures of my rifle, if you look carefully, you can see similar things on the rifle on gunbroker.

Milhoan from Sharpe's book

He did recontour elements of receiver, rounding the edges of the
front receiver boss

and streamlining the area around the magazine cutoff

Personally, some of the things that I like about 1903 Springfields are those contours. But I am not going to get rid of my Milhoan
as I was taking these pictures, my 5 year old son said "that is a nice rifle", I said "it will be yours someday."

Of course, I have no way of knowing whether he marked every rifle that he did. But I hope that these pictures add to the forum.
