I am working an abused CHE that has strange engraveing. The dogs are in a circle on the bottom back of the side of the action and the floor plate has a stag on it. In addtion to the normal border engraveing this gun has a deep line around the border and on the balls of the action. Anyone ever seen anything like it? Dave? I have poor photos I can e-mail but the quality is bad. Any have Charlie Price's address? I lost track of him after the book was published. bill

Yup, a picture would help. Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, all my guns are abused.

Any of the hundreds of Parker experts will tell you 'Never say never' when it comes to Parkers. It's a mantra of sorts. For example, on GunsAmerica right now there is a very rare PHE/DHE Parker which like a tadpole began life as a lowly...tadpole... then grew into a beautiful frog after spending some time in a cocoon somewhere. Now, that frog only waits for a special princess to kiss it and make it an A1 Special. Never say never. http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976786156.htm

Bill, if you have the catalog for session 3 of the recent James D. Julia auction, see page 135 which describes and shows a magnificent CHE with engraving, I believe, very much as you describe. I almost sold my truck to finance the purchase of that beautiful Parker. Dean

I just checked and it is still up on their website. Just click on session three and bring up lot no. 1726 for all of the pictures and a complete description.
This may be in poor taste but sometimes we need to take chances so here goes. Is the Parker you're re-doing yours? And is it for sale? 978-621-9338 Dean

The serial number is 118993 and it is original. Unfortunatly the owner stored it in a soft leather case for 20 years without looking at it. I am trying to get a friend to make some good photo's. It is not mine damn it! bill
