A good article is in October's issue of "Sporting Classics" by Michael McIntosh entitled "Great American Guns". Not only does he give his favorite shotguns of all time but he gives some good advice on how to handle a gun. I have to agree with him 100% on everything he says. Good man.

You would be too, Don. He brags on the Model 12 and 21. In fact he has a lot of good things to say about most of the more popular American guns- both pump and SXS.

People incapable of thinking for themselves have to read such stuff, to decide what to like or dislike.

I decided what I like long ago, 2-piper. Although, it is nice to have someone else who likes what I like, like what I like. But, there was a recent question on the board about the Ithacas being a good gun(?) and he gave them a good word, along with the Fox, Parkers, LCs, 870s and the Superposed and a few others. So can I help it if I like what he likes just because he likes what I like and have always liked? And Jimfrom Trafagar there was some mention when he was talking about the LCs about "the quickest way there is to wear out a rotary bolt without ever firing a shot." But I can't really remember what that was about....... So, what was your question, Jagermeister?
