I have a chance to buy a set of drop in Companion tubes that were originally bought for a 325 Browning. I want to install in a Superposed so I called Briley to see if they are compatible. The answer was no the 325 has a long throw ejector and the Superposed a short throw. I called again this morning asking if they would fit my K80...the answer this time no the K80 is short throw the 325 long throw the same as a Superposed!!!?? Anyone know for sure?
Thanks, Ken

Just compared; 12g 325's ejectors are significantly longer than the '63 12g Super's. K-80 and Briley tubes; I don't have any for comparison.

Thanks Yeti,
I fail to see why the long ejector tubes won't work in the short ejector guns. Oh well I'll find out soon...bought the tubes this afternoon.

When I bought my first pair, the tubes came with two sets of ejectors (long and short). They were 28 ga., so that I could use my M 21 for the 28 ga. pigeon event. Next problem. They would not fully chamber as the M 21 has short 2 3/4" chambers. Lengthened the M 21 chambers and all now works.

The chambers are tight on M21's. I had to have my chamber mates cut short so they would fit.

I'm not sure , but I think the 325 has Invector Plus choke tubes which means it has a overbored bbl. . This means that the tubes will not fit in a Superposed because it has a standard bore bbl.. I may very well be wrong and if so I am sorry.

My M 21 chambers are so tight I can hardly use reloads. I couldnt get my Briley chambermates in either.

Stallones, I sent my chambermates back and they cut them down so they would fit my 21 at no cost.

Short throw tubes in long throw ejector guns will eventually wreck your briley ejectors. Long throw tubes in short throw ejector guns will throw the briley ejectors out thier full travel and will hang up on the standing breech when you attempt to close the gun, even scarring the standing breech.

Stallones, I have owned a dozen or more 12 gauge Model 21s. All but one were fine for sloppy reloads. One 1935 Tournament Skeet Grade has chambers that barely take a factory load, will only chamber the best of reloads. Don't know why unless they used chamber reamers too long, after they had worn.
