Good pictures and a fine looking meal on the table there Lloyd. Thanks for posting. Walleye's my favorite fresh water fish to eat. What's LOTW, Lake of the Woods maybe?...Geo

Only pictures of the bait? whistle I guess the muskies weren't biting. Looks like you had a fine time, I'm envious.

George: You guessed it, and...those fish were swimming just a few hours before they were on the table. Hard to beat fresh!

Tim: There is a slot limit in place to protect the breeding population, so 19 1/2-inches is basically it. While down-rigging, we did lose a nice new perch-colored lure right off the bat that could have been the work of a Muskie, but you never know. Snipped that new monofilament line like it was nothing.

In 52 days up there it will be ruffed grouse I'll be trolling for....

By the way, saying Walleye is my favorite freshwater fish is a hell of a compliment from a south Ga boy raised on river redbelly brim...Geo

George: You are obviously a worldly man of refined and discriminating tastes! I love to fish for trout, but when it comes to freshwater table-fare....give me fresh walleye.

A Canadian who comes to LOTW? Don't you have to drive around, like, 7000 lakes full of fish to get there?

You can't be in town for the entertainment in Baudett.

Heading to LOTW tomorrow. Leaving north west Alberta, through Saskatchewan, across Manitoba to Winnipeg, pick up nephew (who is flying in from Australia), and Dad (who just turned 90), then on to Nestor Falls. Going to pass a lot of lakes but not as much water as the nephew. LOTW is a great place. I'm going to take a look around for a cabin on LOTW or Kagaki Lake beside it while we're there. I'd fly, but I'm pulling my boat. The lodge boats just don't cut it for my Dad's balance and comfort.

Love the Souix Narrows and Nestor Falls part of the lake. I'm with my dad who turns 90 in September. In the NW part of the lake. Family cottage was down by Souix Narrows when I was a kid. Lots of good times down there. But up here is where my brother caught his 40 pound Muskie!

I came from east of Toronto but have to confess.....I flew to Winnipeg. Boat was already here.
