I love Parkers, but I just can't get past that engraving especially when you compare it to the Bulino engraving of today.

But will the Bulino wear as well as the older, deeper cut styles of engraving??

There's a long list of shotguns I'd buy before I spent $60,000 USD on that Parker.

What's more than even stunning is the $59,500.00 price tag. Nahhh, let's just round it of to $60,000.00. That's SIXTY THOUSAND dollars John. Now, just get your check book out and really, please stun us all.

Working on a deal with Steve now, Buzz. Most of us more seasoned and knowledgeable double gun enthusiasts know this one isn't overpriced. Go find another one like this.

If Herschel were still alive and owned it, he would have it at $85,000.

It's correct for the gun, just right. That's more important.

Sure you would, but that's meaningless here. That gun is going up in value every day, lesser stuff, not so much. It's an investment grade gun, and objet d'art. Not for the weak of heart or pocketbook.

John, That certainly is a collector gun. If that's the gun you want, I wish you the best of luck for consummating the deal. I'd love to have that gun too, but sadly, it's too rich for my blood. Good luck to you.

Beautiful gun. Good luck with the dickering and dealing John. My only question is why you would bring this to the attention of other double gun guys who might swoop in and up the ante for it.

I bought a nice double rifle built by Jules Bury last week. I did a lot of homework, but still had a few questions about it when I was doing the deal. I was tempted to ask those questions here, but I've seen that sort of thing put other dogs on the trail. I'm going to pick it up at my FFL in a couple hours. If it passes muster, I'm sure I'll have a few questions about feeding it.

I apologize for being "that guy" but I was fortunate enough to see one that tops this one just 2 months ago. It was a 28 ga DHE fluid steel gun and if this one is 99% case the other one was 198%. ( not implying Steves gun is in any way a slouch. ). It was just a flat NEW gun. I'm not a Parker guy but it was something to see.

I'm not really a player here guys. I do, however, think this gun is a better investment than many other things right now, such as gold, silver, or ugh, the stock market. But it is nice to consider in the portfolio. I haven't ruled it out completely. Let it sit for a while and see what happens. Steve has some buyers who he only has to notify about stuff like this and its usually gone.

But the utter rarity of this gun is what makes it. The fact it is a DAMASCUS 28 ga. DHE. Talk about rare, this is it. But the fact it is so pristeen and untouched makes it even more so.
