I just purchased an endoscope for my smart phone. It has an 7mm lighted camera head on a 2 meter cord, one of several accessories is a 90 degree head so it looks to the side. This should be the perfect tool for bore inspection. The cost was a massive $10 including freight on ebay. The only real problem is waiting for the neighbor's high school kid to install it for me.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions of this interesting piece of kit...to chivy things along, bribe the kid with a shooting experience!

I have had friends fighting the programing on the endoscope and all have failed on my smart phone. The good news is that it is installed on my laptop and it has much better pictures on the more powerful laptop. I will need some practice but initial tests are very good. A cheap tool for $10.

You can also do your own colonoscopies now with it.
A friend of mine has one that hooks up to his laptop and it works well for bores.
