I have a 12ga "Spencer Gun Co" (stamped on left side of frame)
The New American Hammerless stamped on the rib, serial number 1634. I see it was made by Crescent Fire Arms and distributed by Hibbard, Bartlett & Spencer. This one locks up tight has no rust inside or out. I am seeking as much knowledge as any and all of of you can come up with on this gun. Year made? Shoot ability? It has 2 1/2 or 2 9/16 chambers. 30 in barrels both Cylinder so guessing it has been cut. What is the rolling lever on the bottom of the action for? Thank you.
