One year ago, dec 9, 2016 ,an American hunter and son of a
WW II GI RESTITUTED - I repeat RESTITUTED - nr. one gun
of a Springer trio to the grandson of the orignal owner in USA.
The trio was looted by the Germans at their war entry to the
Balkans in april 1941 from the estate of a Croatian count
killed in a concentration camp during WW II.
I have been the successfull researcher in this case, found the
grandson in US and convinced the gun owner to return it to the
family.
In addition a promissing track has been given to look for the
nr. two and three of the trio.
Strangely, from the recipient of the gun , no
American "Thank you", nor an Austrian "Danke schoen" nor
a more appropriate Croatian "Hvala lijepa" to me, the chap
who made it happen.
I am used to other manners of aristo-scions.
