I was able to find a decent lower grade boxlock marked on the rib, Alex Martin 231 8th Avenue, E. Calgary. Is there a Calgary in Scotland, or did he have some kind of outlet in Canada? The proof marks indicate a 1 1/8 oz. load, I believe this indicates a post 1926 mark. Any info will be appreciated, Mark Robson

Unfortunately I have never seen one of his guns for sale at a gun show in Calgary.

Canada is fine with it. It's your guys who have lost their sense of humour. When I crossed last week the border agent, after the normal preliminaries, asked "Why are you going to Nebraska?" Ya people in Wis. couldn't figure out why I would drive there from Iowa to hunt grouse and woodcock, and that was in a gunshop?!?!
