Good point indeed. Ruger must have thought otherwise, as I believe most of the early 3 screw and later 2 screw single-six revolvers had both cylinders- today, the pricing of both .22lr and especially the .22Magnum rounds may negate any advantage of owning such a gun.

Figure out what you want for it I may be interested or I could list it on the Ruger forum for you. I'm a member there.

Thank you, very nice gesture. I sold it at a fair market- price today. My friend Brad Bachelder's son Parker, who operates the sales dept. of the Master Gunmakers shop in Grand Rapids happened to have a Single six in for sale, and missing the Magnum .22 cylinder- so, right place, right time. But I very much appreciate your kind offer.
Not really important, as my only reason for logging into the Ruger site was to list this cylinder for sale, but as I happen to have a hotmail address, due to spamming problems with this e-mail address, I am "locked out". I am a bit curious as to why just this e-mail address, and not, let us say, a gmail address.
I envy you living in the beautiful Finger Lakes area of the Empire State. A paradise for an avid waterfowler I should guess. If you are in that category, good hunting this Fall-

I envy you living in the beautiful Finger Lakes area of the Empire State. A paradise for an avid waterfowler I should guess. If you are in that category, good hunting this Fall- . Our duck/goose season opens Sat. I will start it out at my camp for 3 days hunting with my 13 year old son. We mainly shoot woodies where my camp is but a few mallards or blacks once in a awhile. But as the season progresses I hunt more puddle ducks and the second season is divers. Both on the finger lakes and Lake Ontario. We've had some awesome diver hunting in recent years for bluebills and redheads(except last year,no cold weather to push them down). I love NY for that reason and all the fishing. We have everything from steelhead/salmon to walleyes to saltwater on Long Island and everything in between. Our deer hunting is excellent too. They are becoming a real nuisance. Every night I have 10-20 does in the bean field next to me. I just wish the state wasn't so liberal. If we could get rid of Cuomo and NYC our state would be awesome. A very diverse state with the adirondacks and Catskills mountains, finger lakes and Great Lakes. Another plus is the finger lakes is beautiful wine country!!!
