Is there such a group? If so, does anyone have their e-mail address? I tried a Barney Google search, drew a blank. Gracias.

There used to be the Ruger Collectors Association (RCA) but I think they have disbanded. There was another fellow who took up the flag but his name escapes me at the moment. Have you inquired over on the Ruger forum? http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/

Thanks Hoot, but no go. They will not allow my hotmail e-address, due to spammers> Even though they have a CAPTCHA filter. WTF..

Thanks. Ruger customer service gave me the name and phone number of Mr. Hansen in CT- as "head fred" of the collectors assn. I have a spare cylinder for a Single six .22 revolver- it is the .22Winchester Magnum cylinder, never used, and I want to find a home for it. I have 2 Ruger .22's- a M77 BA with a Leupold 6x scope (superb squirrel gun indeed) and a Mark 11 .22 bull barrel target pistol-But I don't have a Single Six wheelgun. The cylinders are supposed to be factory fitted, checked for proper timing, according to the Ruger service rep with whom I spoke about this- so, we shall see.

RWTF - I had a Ruger Single-Six that came to me with only the .22 Mag cylinder. How the heck do these 'additional' gun parts get separated from their guns??? Seems to happen way too often in our world of fine firearms.

Well, Dean- here's the story. The owner of the pistol, a post 1976 mfg. gun- had the gun stolen from his home, with the std. .22 LR cylinder in it- but he had the .22Winchester Magnum cylinder stashed away- apparently he never used it. This was some years ago, he gave me the .22Magnum cylinder last week, in part payment for mounting and bore sighting a scope on his grandson's deer rifle.
I have no use for it- tried the Ruger Forums- strange, but because I have a hotmail address, I cannot register on the Rugerforum.com website- They have the Captcha system, but have you heard of any gun related sites that have been hit by spammers using a hotmail address? Is the PGCA "bullet-proof" from that nasty bit of internet crapola? Hope so.
Numrich lists them from $54.00 up to $135.00. I did find out the date, from a Ruger Collector I found on the Internet-- after 1976 and up to today, as the gun is still mfg., the cylinders for the .22Win Mag cal were NOT fluted- previous cylinders were fluted.
Thanks for the insight, Always nice to hear from an old friend. Good luck on grouse and woodcock and your love of the 16 gauge "Old Reliables" in those storied New England coverts. RWTF

I'm storing my son-in-law's Single six with both cylinders. Must admit that I never understood the concept. Given that the barrel is sized for the .22M, but I suspect that 98% of the shells fired are the smaller .22, why would anyone enjoy shooting a gun which is inherently less accurate than it could have been?
