Day 4 just completed. Day 1 we forged, filed, hardened and tempered inletting scrapers, day 2 we began inletting brld actions; 3 students with Model-70 Winchester's, one left hand with single shot. Student are nearing completing inletting, one installing a skeleton grip cap.
Wrap things up on Friday, day 5 with many questions, what to do at home, finishing techniques and all the loose ends.

Thanks Greg,
Yes, the class was an unqualified success. Students inlet their M-70 stocks and one fellow from Kansas managed to complete a skeleton grip cap installation.
Some of those guys will be back in June, 2017 for the advanced Stock Shaping class. I'll entertain teaching shaping of any stock, subject to approval.

Anyone that is interested should write me at sdh@finegunmaking.com and let me know they want to be on the list for next years classes. Most on this years students were from that list.

Happy class participants with projects and Stella, the gun shop dog.

Very nice of the Bozeman Chronicle where the story first appeared. It didn't hurt that they sent two 30 something sweethearts for the interview and pics.
Several newspapers around the state picked it up, to my surprise.

It didn't quite make the viral category although it was reportedly seen on facebook?
