I have a H&H 16 bore paradox for "Ball and Shot" with the rifling removed sometime ago. I want a new pair of barrels made and need to know the rifling depth and twist rate. Any information appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

Informed by Lothar-Walther that they do not manufacture shotgun barrels.

Before you have a new set of barrels made, consider having a set of rifled chokes installed. It may be a tall order in 16ga, but 12ga would be easy from Briley.

There's a short write up by Ross Seyfried from the 21st. of this month on the Explora. It's about a restoration that Westley Richards did on a 16 bore H&H Paradox gun. He describes the bore as in nice original condition and apparently it shoots well. They may have a good idea of how the bore measured up. Best of luck with it.

Apparently Ross Paradox had the rifling intact. Now on to Briley to see if they can help.

I know an outfit that makes rifled choke tubes in 12 and 20 ga. They only have buttons in those gauges. I buy the rifled blanks and have them turned and threaded to fit my shotguns. The rifled blanks are $20 each and it costs me $75 each to have them threaded. They make a pretty good paradox gun with Brenneke conventional slugs.
If someone can identify a source of a 16ga rifling button, this shop could turn up a bunch of blanks, then rifle them by pushing the button through the blank.
