Here is my latest BRNO, a half stock model with a carbine length barrel in caliber 6.5X57. The stock finish needs repair and will be taken care of following hunting season:





The knurled receiver ring was too pretty to mar with a scope mount, so I had the G&H mount fitted. I think it looks rather nice. The Lyman 48 receiver sight was already on the rifle when I acquired it.

Nice rifle. I put it on my watch list. I've never owned a rifle with a Jaeger side mount, although I have any number of G&H side mounts. My favorite reticle in the Redfield scope.

Too bad it's not in another caliber, say 8X64S or 9X57. Hmmmm, rebore maybe? 9.3X57 would be another option, not to mention 9.3X62. As I recall, the magazines on those rifles will accept .30-'06 length cartridges.
