Ejectors? Spanish walnut? Is that like Calif claro? Is this a boxlock with false side plates. Wow, what a bargain, from the schmucks at Cabela's Gun Library, who also add an extra digit or two into their unrealistic prices. You might be able to find a nice Parker VH 28 gauge for their original 8k asking price for this Spanish "Best"..

You must forgive Francis....He may be off his meds again....Mine was a true sidelock, I bought it as a something else and American arms said "keep it". It was a nice gun ....BUT it was choked so open that I had to shoot everything 2 or 3 times....This was before God invented Brileys...Francis? I already have a Parker 28...

I had a 20ga Derby made by Sarriugarte (that is marked by them, really made by Erbi). It had 25"bbls Churchill Rib and a SNST. It really was a nice gun, but the trigger had some issues, like a lot of Spanish ST's, so down the road it went. I think if it had DT, I'd still have it. But the asking price on this one, is a bit (a lot!) on the steep side.
Best,
Greg

I may have missed something . . . but are we sure that's a Derby? At the same time they were selling the Derby, American Arms also marketed the Grulla No. 2. I can't tell which it might be from the photos, although my guess would be Derby because of the ST. A Grulla No. 2 would likely be worth at least twice the price of a Derby, but still well short of $7K.

Mine was actually a Grulla...American arms went through a period where they were pretty confused....they imported some pretty neat stuff and some not so neat...Like the Turkey Special...Made for and purchased by Turkeys...(I bought one)
