Has anyone had experience with the H&H Light Shells (15/16; 2.5"). See: http://www.classicshooting.com/collectio...iant=1115048260

Any idea about pressures?

Thank you

I'm not 100% certain but I think Hull Cartridge Company http://www.hullcartridge.co.uk/ may load for Holland & Holland. I have just looked through their website for a comparable cartridge but can't find one although I bought a case of their 'Trainer' brand cartridges not all that long ago which seem to be along similar lines although not now listed for some reason. They are 15/16th. ounce No.7 shot but with paper cases. Nice to use and I would suspect are the same. Maybe if Holland's won't supply the info then Hull might. Lagopus.....

I emailed classic shooting about a week ago asking about pressure for that same load and have not heard from them yet.

I also looked for pressure information on the Hull cartridge website to no avail.

RST has been very responsive to my emails requesting pressure information so they are always an alternative, although the price is good on the H&H light shells you reference.

lagopus ,
You are correct in your assumption, they are the same shell.
Hull are the normal supplier but Gamebore have also supplied .
Hull Compex are a far superior shell. The 21gram are perfect, soft, efficient and very comfortable to shoot in the lack of recoil department.

Hmm. I didn't know these were available in the US and decided to purchase a couple of cases. Would love to sort through pressure info soon, but will use them in modern guns until more information is available. Thanks for the head's up on classic's site/offer.

I have purchased the H&H 2 1/2 fiber wad shells. I also shoot the RST shells. The RSTs have significantly softer recoil.

Is this Classic Shooting guy still in business? I tried to order a flat yesterday. I also called and didn't get anyone to answer.

Ive ordered from them within the last two months- no problems with delivery. The light load referenced above is a good clean burning shell with fiber wads if I recall correctly...

Ok, I just received this email from Classic Shooting:

Dale,

We have no specific pressure information for those cartridges. However, the
Light Loads are designed for 2-1/2" chambered British guns originally
proofed for maximum service loads of 3 long tons per square inch (6720 psi).

Best regards,
