I remember a pictorial about a sxs shotgun being converted to a sxs .22; unfortunately I don't remember who or where.

I believe in the rifle section someone did a pictorial of making a .22 lr double rifle. I thought it was from scratch, but could be wrong. It was a master builder from what I recall. Gil PS it was a Bradshaw build in .22 Hornet made for Mike Bailey. It was linked in our forum. This one had a scratch built action, but his site states he uses a .410 action on some. http://forums.accuratereloading.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/760101804/m/3761057511/p/1

I'm calling MCACE tomorrow to talk with them about those .410/.22 inserts. By their being bored off center, to accommodate the rimfire aspect, I'm wondering if it may be possible to regulate two of them in a double barreled gun by rotating them a little at the time, indexing, if you will. I just may order on of the 18" ones to play with in my Yildiz, just to see how much rotating it changes the POI.
Thanks for the link, skeettx.

Brian, is that a 22 LR double rifle? Who is the maker? Is it accurate?
Thanks in advance.

Bailey Bradshaw makes them as can I.
I also do shotgun to rifle conversions and have a line on a great donor gun for a .22.

Bailey Bradshaw build a .22 K-Hornet double for me with an extra set of .410 barrels. Took it to Southern Africa and shot a small warthog for the table, a Damara dik dik and a red duiker for trophy, and a guinea fowl or two. Regards, Tim Oven-sized warthog Guinea fowl as found after shot

I talked to the owner at MCA Sports about the 22 LR chambered inserts for a .410. They are turned from already rifled barrels, and the 18" one weighs 8 oz. They are held in place with O-rings, and the empty 22 hulls have to be knocked out with a cleaning rod, from the muzzle. I lost interest when I heard that last part.

1cdog, Yes that's a 22 DR. I built it out of a 410 double. I used eccentric bushings soldered in the muzzles for regulation. worked pretty good.
