I spoke with Rick Hemingway, owner of Backwoods Quail Club in Georgetown, SC and he said the club, area roads, motels, and restaurants are all in good shape and the shoot is on. I also spoke with the Hampton Inn to get a report on Georgetown itself and found out the following information from these two sources. The course was not damaged and the major hotels in Georgetown reported no damage from the recent flooding. Most restaurants in Georgetown are fine and all the restaurants on nearby Pawley's Island are operating as usual. You can call Backwoods Quail for updates and verification at 843-546-1466. Come down and enjoy the cooler weather, great seafood, and great shooting.

This year the Fall Southern will offer a Flurry event for the 1st time. Be sure and bring a pair of guns or at a minimum an ejector gun and good (fast) loader.

I never thought about it before, but I wonder if you would be allowed to shoot the blackpowder 25 bird event with a muzzleloader, or if it is restricted to blackpowder shells in breechloaders only?

Yes, you could shoot your muzzleloader shotgun in the Black Powder event. Bring it along. Should be a nice addition to the event. We all like seeing the wide variety of doubles made by those industrious Victorians.

It's so nice youz southern boyz can arrange your schedules to get there and also invite northerners on different web sites. Good to hear you don't have fahrming, professional practice, family and other conflicts like when it comes to youz driving to shoots in the nawth.

It's all a matter of prioritizing what's really important and what is just an impediment in life.

Who are the vendors that will be showing their guns, rifles and ware at the event? The last couple of years there have been some real bargains there.

I have heard that next year there will be a double rifle shooting range/program at the Fall Southern sxs, is that correct?
