Images would be most beneficial. Jani should know the city of Gradec and possibly the firearms merchant Josef Unger. I'm sure he did not make it but sourced it from either Ferlach or Suhl. So 2 tubes of 16 bore and one of 8,2mm? Which country's proofmarks does it wear?

Josef/Joseph Unger hung out his gunmaking shingle in 1864:

Gegründet 1864. Absatz in Ungarn, Deutschland, Türkei, Croatien(Kroatien), Mähren und Schlesien. 6 Arbeiter

cototo24,
If the gun only has 2 barrels, it is not a drilling; it would be either a BBF or BF, depending on how the barrels are arranged. If the rifle barrel is marked 8.2mm it is likely Austrian. The Germans usually marked the barrels with the bore diameter, rather than the groove diameter. The diameter of 8.2mm would fit a .323" bullet;a German gun for this dia.bullet would likely marked 7.9, 7.92(possibly 7.8), of if after 1939 law would be marked with the common name of the Cartridge(ie 8x57 IRS).As Raimey said, good photos will sort this all out.

Also of Joseph Unger, Graz:

and another one:

and here you find a discussion in spanish on an Unger Drilling:

Of course Raimey is right, it was made for Unger probably in Ferlach.

Wolfgang

Gracias a todos por su ayuda, me sirvio de mucho para saber que tengo y un valor aproximado. La calidad parece mas que buena para un arma de esa antigüedad.

Thank you all for your help, I served much to know that I have and an approximate value. The quality seems good for more than a weapon that old.

I guess that it would translate to the fact that you would be well served to know an approximate value. It was sourced from Suhl, or @ least the tubes, & then completed in Ferlach in 1913.

I'm curious about the marks & any worn marks in this enclosed area. I'd say the initials on the water table & tubes are those of Suhl mechanics, with the exception of Crown over ST(??) just above the Crown over S on the tubes, which may point to a Belgian source.

Yes Raimey, I know the city of Graz / Gradec quite well. As a youngster I visited gunshops there, also the great Landeszeughaus or armoury. J. Unger I know mostly from advertisements in late 19th cent. periodicals.
With kind regards,
Jani
