JM, the SKB's are made in Turkey. The maker is AKUS.
Greg Greg's got it. Anything new with the name SKB these days will be Turkish. SKB is dead and buried in Japan. The Turks are acquiring the names of a lot of gunmakers formerly in business in other places. Webley & Scott is another one.

About 6 months ago I bought the 28 ga., 28" and liked it so much I bought a 20 ga., 30". I shoot the 28 ga. For skeet and the 20 for sporting. Great fit and finish. I have the hunting models.

The 200HR in .410, with 30" barrels weighs 6 lbs. 6 oz.

Ooh, I now have to get my hands on one of those. If the triggers are decent I will have to get one. Ken. Were you thinking of something like this?  No reason to shoot an unattractive gun. It's a 32" LC Long Range Waterfowl stocked to fit me. On a 12 gauge I like a splinter. Fabulous for targets and devastating on a tower shoot for live birds. Jeff You need to come over with that Smith and let's see how much you think you're cheating on some of these late season migratory doves, Jeff. Ha! Ha! Shooting (at) them in these big peanut fields bears little resemblance to ambushing them around a stock tank. (Tongue in cheek) I believe the gun could be switched over to double triggers. They make the same basic gun with them, just not in that model. Parts should be available to do it. I am anxious to handle one, too. SRH

My bestus buddy has a beauty of a LC Trap. VR 32" barrels it is a great SC gun for him. But for me it's too low. I do prefer a tight radius vertical style grip with palm swell most often see on SC OU's.

A Becker Super Fox might be the best of both of those worlds for you, Ken.
Whot surprises me is that not many here, aside from Dig & a few others, seem to grasp the ease of movement and enjoyment that comes from shooting one of the classic 6# Brit game guns w/28 gram or less loads. Not really speaking to individuals as much as to manufacturers. You'd think that a configuration that evolved over many decades, admittedly over driven game providing fast overhead and on the ground shooting, just might make good sense for sporty clays, eh?
Nope, the 'any mount' [pre-mounted gun, for those slow to grasp] rule killed the concept. In the field, methinks it retains good value, but whot maker, aside from CSM w/the introductory RBL-20 has had the guts to go there in the present?

TW-I shoot classic game guns as well as heavy fowlers at sporting clays. If I'm shooting for fun, then the light fast guns with 1oz B&P's are great fun. But if there's something to be won, the mass and control of the big guns really adds to my score.
The game has evolved because people and their equipment are better, and the game must be tougher to differentiate. The light game gun is not the right tool for heavier loads, and longer targets.
Out there doing it best I can.
