Der Ami Sidelock Joined: Jul 2012 Posts: 4,461 Likes: 207 East Alabama	I'ts possible that it was made for a disabled person, but my own vote goes to the idea that it was simply part of the early breechloading era search fot a strong, simple,easy to use locking system.The fact that it is so rare,shows that this system didn't win the search. Someone may be able to find the patent application and the purpose may be indicated. Mike
