Probably should have marked it "Low Budget Spanish Deja Vu". 20-25 years ago I had an inexpensive 20 ga boxlock AYA that killed every dove and quail it ever saw. In a moment of stupid, I traded it for something apparently not very memorable. Since then I've had periodic trader's remorse. Strolling through a little local gunshow today, I found it's near twin. Pulling a truly replaceable S&W out of my bag, I traded and gleefully ran for the truck. Granted, it's not a high-dollar Spanish Sidelock, but anytime I can relive, or maybe even recreate great memories for under half a grand, I'm happy. As best I can tell, it's an AYA Model 106. It has 27" barrels, double triggers, ejectors, side clips, greener cross bolt, a semi-clunky PG stock with a tight, almost petite, beavertail, 3" chambers and the original hard plastic AYA buttplate. There's not a speck of rust, the wood is in remarkably nice condition for 50-60 years of use and the color case hardening is worn only in all the usual edges. Choked two stars and three(improved and mod), I 'm hoping it will see a lot more action.
