In my neck of the woods, it would be around a $300.00 gun tops as it is right now. Depending on who did the work, you are looking at a fair bit of cash just to have the stock properly repaired, re-checkered and refinished.
Just because it's a $300 gun doesn't mean it's a bad or cheap gun. Kettner is a "good" name and put quality stuff into the marketplace. Properly cared for, it will outlive you and the next generation while providing solid service.
If the stock needs work or the action needs cleaning up or anything like that, to make it fully functional, that's money well-spent. A thorough cleaning inside by a professional gunsmith who knows doubles - to remove 90 years of old oil, varnish and gunk - would be money well-spent and almost mandatory to my eye.
From the looks of it, this was a base-model gun. Getting it gussied up, a new stock or fancy checkering or engraving is money you'll spend without much hope (if any) of getting the money back. And AFAIK, sellers don't keep replacement stocks for 90 y/o Kettners in stock, unlike for, say, LC Smiths or Sauers. You'd be looking at a pro cutting one out of a blank of wood.
