A letter from the maker indicates that the day of completion was January 21 so each year I take it hunting either on that day or within a couple of days of it. The year of manufacture was 1914 so this year was its 100th birthday.

I know within a week I am going to wish I could hunt again but at the same time I've usually had my fill of it and am ready to catch some fish.
