A friend stooped by yesterday to show me this rifle so I asked to keep it a few days and photograph it.

The rifle is caliber .25-20 WCF, has horn buttplate & forend tip and a steel grip cap. The rifles looks to have been stocked by John Dubiel. The owner has the express sight off repairing one of them.

Hi Michael, now thats how a martini should look.
I Like the little touch on the end of the lever and the checkering is very nicely laid out and done.
Is that a packer Hale rear sight and is that done so it is a takedown ?
Don't often get single shots on here so will try and put a photo of one of mine in 222. The action is in the white as I had it engraved and didn't want to loose the effect of the engraving by having it blued.
Success.
The bottom photo is one I had made up by the same gunsmith but this time in 357 magnum.
With my tired old eyes I couldn't get a decent group with the open sight so put a Parker Hale rear peep sight on it and then had to put another higher fore sight on to get onto target. This one had a much finer blade and after sighting it in, it went smack into the centre of the target at a hundred metres with the second shot one inch away.
You can't see it on the photo but on all my Martini's the trigger guard is thinned down to give a less chunky look.

That may well be the only Martini I've ever seen that I would call handsome. Great stock work. The lines are just perfect. Is there an address on the barrel?

All are very nice rifles. My Martini is a butt ugly Mark 2 Target gun with a left hand stock and ten pound barrel. I will think of something to do with it.

The sight is a Lyman but not sure of the base, it looks like it's setup for take-down but I'm not going to try.

No address but "Hoffman Arms Co." and barrel number that puts it at Ardmore, OK.

Pardon my ignorance, but are these cadets or full size martinis, I can't tell from the pictures (my guess is cadets)

The one with the scope is a Cadet with the Kangaroo engraved on top of the action whereas the other one was a 22 long rifle and has the thicker side walls.
Can't remember which model.
The sides of which have been machined to give it a more, to my eyes pleasing aspect.

The Hoffman is a #12 BSA takedown Martini. The #12 has thicker action sidewalls than the cadets.
