skeettx, thanks for the link, I've saved it in my Favorites bar. I'm only a few months away from starting my multi-year, North American Grand Tour and I'm certain that I'll find this link useful for fun shooting during my future travels.

Great Guns near Nunn, CO is about 25 miles south of Cheyenne off of Hwy 85. They have good targets including a 100 ft. tower. Club is nothing fancy but Kevin and Kelly are very welcoming. If you stop in the Cabelas store in Sidney, ask for me in the gun library. I would be glad to meet you. One heads up though. If you are in Cheyenne during the week around the 20th, it's Frontier Days. Lodging is nonexistent, and it is extremely expensive if you can find any.

Nope!! You want to drive I-90 to Billings, Montana, then down U.S. 212 to Red Lodge and over the Beartooth and come into Yellowstone National Patk via Cook City and Silver Gate. Far more spectacular!! And, a lot less eighteen wheelers on I-90 than I-80.

If you take the state hwy 14 across Wyoming thru Cody, you can see the Cody Museum with all the Winchesters. Also, if you're a fan of a well made custom cowboy hat at decent prices, maybe one of the best in the business, you'll pass right thru a little village of Shell Wyo where Mackey Custom Hats are made. http://www.mackeycustomhats.com/toppage1.htm

I did my geology summer field camp out of Red Lodge MT. The road from Red Lodge to Yellowstone (Cooke City) is an absolutely spectacular drive!
