I hope you see nothing in the joint line department... "Invisibly Sleeved"...as they say.
If done well, I think the only risk is getting it for the right price..a good discount for the lack of original tubes.whatever you feel that to be for a classy sleeved shooter....assuming it is in good order & fits & feels sweet.
Some people would never own a sleeved gun, I guess.
I think its a good way to get most of a Gun that you couldn't afford if it were whole smile
Know one really knows how it balanced when new, apart from the guy who sleeved it & the previous owner, so I don't think that's a fair criticism of sleeved Guns.If it's nice, then it is.
What action type?
good luck
Franc

Crowley, sleeving comes in a wide spread of quality, just like the guns so serviced. Well done, it is as servicable as the OE barrels. Poorly done, they are an inoperable wart.

Look for the same things as you would look for in new: barrels shoot together, chokes suit you, good striking, good bores and good blacking / bluing. The seam is the one thing that sleeve barrels have that non-demiblock barrels do not. Best done seams are virtually invisible. Poorly done seams stick out like the proverable "wart."

Shoot if you can, but most of all look and look at the brand name last of all.
