He held 9 patents relating to firearms. Some are related to tools, safeties, rifles, o/u design.
Here are some of his trade marks:
- a flash containing initials " S*D " and two swords crossed. Registered on November 20th, 1906

- a tab including "Record" mark Special Steel. Registered on April 30th, 1910
- RECORD ACIER SPECIAL
- logo of initials " PSL " in houses
- PSL
- "Regina". Registered on September 4th, 1913 (mark deposited before by Edward Schrader does this define a 'brother' relationship?)
- drawings of three feathers linked up by a cordon. Registered on June 25th, 1923
- three feathers in bouquet
He did file this US patent in 1932
