I have an extremely well made 16Ga Double with "Joh Kalezny" engraved within the exceptional scroll engraving on the left sideplate.

Sidelock Ejector, Chopper Lump barrels, 27 1/2" barrels, Anson Deely forend.

Can anybody give me info? It appears to be either German or Austrian.

Regards,

Bill Marshall

I have it in my locker but do not recall.

These are the ones I have stored. Serial number 2338, Number 2 of a matched pair. It has been re-blacked but curiously shows very few signs of wear to suggest a need. A beautifully well made side by side. I'm speculating pre-war (II).

Need a better image of the water table and area forward of the flats. Looks like 1907 with a reproof in 1955.

Raimey - sounds right

http://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/a-sidelock-double-barrelled-shotgun,-holland-ho-41-c-c12a8f1a1a

This one above, in the 2500 range serial number range, is estimated 1914.

Thank you so much for the rapid and expert feedback. I was pleased with this little beauty Before I knew anything about it.

Bill

So when they are removed you know the left one and the right one and they will index when re-installed

Mike

p.s. yeah, I know, NEVER take them out at the same time, but Murphy lives smile
