Looking for a forearm for this 1894.It's been at the gunsmith for years.He can't find one or fix the one that was Frankensteined on.l thought it was a 12 but in my records l have it as a 16.Here's serial 381873,if that helps.

Your gun is a Model 1900 , I think, and if so it's forend differs from a Model 1894. There are cheap 1900s for sale quite often. Maybe you can find a donor gun.

Model 1894 serial numvers are in the 100000 range and Model 1900 serial numbers are in the 300000 range. No. 381873 would be a late 1909 vintage gun. In that there were over twice as many 1900s made as 1894s maybe a better chance of finding a forearm.

Check with Al Bolduc at the Gun Garage. I have bought some Remington double parts from him and he probably has one.
