Trying to find a new 20 gauge field gun. It seems that my combination of likes is tough to find unless my budget moves into the 70 thousand dollar range (McKay).

Double triggers, english stock, 28 inch barrels, sub 7lb, schnabel forend and rounded receiver would be nice.

I've looked at Beretta AS, Browning Feather and B25, Winchester 101 and CG Evo light.

What am I missing?

Sounds like you're looking for an over/under. If it was a side by side, it wouldn't be as hard to find. AyA builds o/u guns with 2-triggers (but most are 12 bore). Look at Caesar Guerini, Rizzini, and maybe some of the Turks.

Your criteria seems pretty easily filled. But, I can't tell whether you have a budget of $1000 or $70,000 from what you posted.

Just check out GunsInternational.com for literally hundreds of gun in 20ga that may fit your criteria.

Sorry, I missed the O/U criteria.

You might consider getting a Superlight Superposed and having Art's Gunshop convert it to double triggers. But only a Superlight will be under 6 lbs in my experience and it'll be hard to find longer than 26 1/2" bbls.

Yup....my bad, O/U

Would like it to be between 5-10K. I feel like that is a lot of gun money and I should be able to find something fairly easily.

R_W,
Coles Gunsmithing can probably put a custom Beretta 6xx series gun together for you with the double triggers and straight stock. If you want a new, reliable gun, that's not a bad way to go. And I'd prefer a Beretta to a Caesar Guerini after having looked a the CG pretty hard a number of times.

Sorry about the first post referring to under 6 lbs. I'm loosing it. Any 20g/28" Superposed can be restocked to a straight stock and be under 7lbs. Art's can do the stock and probably the trigger conversion.

I'm going on Friday to look at CG Evo at local shop.

Curious about your hesitation, what do you not like about the CG offerings?
