It is my understanding there is not a US source for 3in 28ga factory shells. I have a italian gun 28 gauge O/U marked 3 inch. I was thinking of having some 3in brass shells done for it by Rocky Mountain Cartridge but I am not sure where to find data for 3 inch 28 gauge reloading.
At this point I imagine I could use 2 3/4 inch 28 gauge data that are tight in a 2 3/4 hull.

Old Colonel, Have you thought about 577 Nitro Express Brass? I think it is about 24ga,but maybe it can be sized enough. Mike

I will look into the Tundra ammo.
I understand I might be able to convert .577 brass, but would prefer not to gather up more reloading sizing dies than I already have.
I did note when trying to find Rocky Mountain Cartridge online their website seems to be down.

I remember a note on the rifle forum that Rocky Mountain had been sold and is being moved. Might be able to look it up and get new contact info. Maybe for now, enjoy it with good 2 3/4" shells.

http://shop.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/f...s.aspx?a=899348They list a 3" lead load for about $11 box above. Also, the Fiocci catalog has a TBD on a Golden Pheasant 3" load. I've shot some roosters and chukar with the 2 3/4" 7/8oz Golden Pheasant and found it a great load.

There are more 3inch 28 gauge offerings than I thought.
I thought I would see them with more than 7/8 oz. Which is probably about the higher limit of what one should shoot in it,(though I know about the Win AA 1oz)
So far I have only been able to find reloading data for the 2 3/4 inch hull,
