I am sure with the wealth of knowledge on this board someone here knows how to remove the extractors/ejectors from the barrels on my Remington 1894.
If that person would be kind enough to share said knowledge, I would be extremely grateful.

ok, i have seen the parts breakdown like that before, but i am still unsure how they slide out of the lug.
am i missing something in that post?

I do not own a Rem 1894. However, you list 5 steps, should there not be 6. It would seem to me that step 4 after removing forend should be remove bbls. I cannot imagine that one could remove the extractor/ejectors with the gun still closed.

The parts breakdown does not show the bbls. However one can clearly see the cutout in the lower portion of the extractor leg into which the retaining screw fits. After removal of that screw from the bbl lug the extractor should slide right out.

Take the barrels off and loosen the small set screw.

After you get them out go over them with a fine hard white Arkansas stone to remove any burrs. Then take a small wire wound bristle brush and clean the gunk out of the hole under the barrels. I did the above and now my ejectors work perfect.
Practice safe eating. Always use a condiment.

thanks guys, i wondered if it was as simple as removing that screw. Guess there is not a whole lot else that screw could do but hold the ejectors in.
