I am thinking about buying a Fausti DEA 28 ga shotgun. What do think about the quality of this gun? What other guns should I consider buying that would be in the same price range?
Thanks for your comments.

There has been a lot of discussion on this forum on the Faustis. My opinion, for what its worth, if you can buy one at a discounted price, they are damn good guns for the money. I hunted one, 20 bore, that belonged to one of our guest/clients and liked it...AYA 4/53 would be a next choice...

Depending on the options, you might find an RBL 28ga for not much more, assuming the Dea is going for something close to $3K.

They seem like a nice guns. I handled some at the Southern. I would much prefer one over an RBL.

I have hunted both..Fausti IMO (not humble) is a way nicer gun. It has that feel between the hands...I am NOT a big RBL fan...And I have never bought a gun based on its resale value..It aint a business, this double gun thing...More like an addictive condition...

I field-tested a Dea 20ga. I thought it a nice gun too, but I just didn't shoot it very well. Fortunately, it was an outdoor writer "sample" gun, so I did not have to worry about resale value.
I also field-tested an RBL 28ga--but I had to buy that one. Shot it about as well as I've ever shot any 28ga. However, something else came along, and the RBL went away as part of the trade. It retained its value pretty well.
