I have Meffert catalog from 50s. Theres introduced couple drillings, and I think Sharps drilling could be model "10L".
If it is made in 50s?

I have scanned that catalog to pdf format.
If someone wants to have it, send me your email address.

Thank you riude! All I know about when it was built is the gentleman I bought it from told me 1936. I have no idea if that's accurate.

Heres pics from catalog:

I have thought "Hubertus" was postwar tradename?
But Im not sure at all!

Isnt there any date marking on watertable, 1136, 852 or such?
If not, that would be hint of older date?

I guess real experts can determine this more accurate from steel grade markings etc.

Hubertus was a trademark coined by Imm. Meffert near the end of WWI or when Brno Meffert took the reins. Circa 1930 Imm. Meffert offered a Hubertus version that was lightweight, but lightweight from removal of metal from non-crucial areas to reduce the weight. Then in 1931 3 blocks of Duralumininum(Dural/Leichtmtetall/Alumininum/Aluminum), more than likely sourced from Drener Metallwerke, for production of the Hubertus Dural/Leichtmetall drillings.

Interesting side note that Sauer stuck with all metal sporting weapons.

Also wanted to add that Christoph Funk circa 1933 offered a Leicht Stahl Drilling but his light weight alloy was sourced from Siemens-Martin/Martin-Siemens as Siemens Martin Spezial Einsatzstahl. I think it some sort of diffusion/infusion process similar to electro-plating/melting. If I'm not mistaken it was the basis for the Jubilums Drilling 1835-1935.

I have two Funk drillings how can I tell if it is the Leicht Stahl?

I'd say weight and date. If it falls in the 1933-1939 range and is an upper rung Funk, I'd guess the frame to be of the Siemens-Martin steel which had a strength of 55-62 kg/mm^2 where the typical drilling steel was rated at 37-45 kg/mm^2. It may have been some skin depth treatment. And that would have been Emil Martin and son Pierre Emil Martin along with Carl(Charles) Wilhelm Siemens.

Good info, as I'm about as ignorant as they come when Dural receivers are the topic, is there any reason to be concerned about them shooting loose? Battering the standing breech or any other signs to watch for?

All the crucial components will still be of steel. Christoph Funk claimed that from 1933 to 1939 they had ZERO rejections or losses at the proof facility. Over time, I can't say.

Would it be the Seimens steel if it is marked Bohler Antinit?
