Anyone know the history of the Italian gunmaker Manifat. Riunite Armi - E. Salvinelli? I believe they operated in the early 1960's through at least 1968 in the Italian gunmaking center of Gardonne. I base the range on guns advertised on gunsinternational.com that seem to have proof datings of 1963 and 1968. The "E." most likely seems to be for "Enrico." The guns appear to range from field grade extractor O/U and SxS through Italian SLE best gun equivilants with southgate style ejectors and the pin arrangement of the locks seem to emulate H&H. At least the 1963 gun seems to have barrels made of German sourced steel (Flussstahl--Krupp--Essen). I have seen this on other Italian guns in the 1950's and 1960's. They appear to range in asking price from $1,200 for field grade to $11,000 for the high end. What they are really worth I don't know, but I expect the high end asking price is unrealistic. I believe these are examples of their production: http://www.gunsinternational.com/ITALIAN...un_id=100203168 $1,200 http://www.gunsinternational.com/SALVINELLI-12-GA-SIDELOCK-EJECTOR.cfm?gun_id=100229456 $2,300 http://www.gunsinternational.com/Salvinelli-SLNE-12-Ga.cfm?gun_id=100137119 $5,000 http://www.gunsinternational.com/Salvinelli-Armi-Sporter-12-gauge.cfm?gun_id=100233695 $6,000 http://www.gunsinternational.com/Salvinelli-Sidelock-12-Ga.cfm?gun_id=100139190 $11,000

No thoughts on Enrico Salvinelli, I guess he really was an obscure gunmaker despite having several of his guns on the market today?
