The first LC I got was too nice for me to really mess with. When I started reading about all the restoration going on I started looking for a project. I found this gun pretty cheap, and it is probably just what I would get if I ordered one new. I had some trouble with re-assembly due to the glass I put in the stock, and the fact that when I got it one trigger was bent, and the automatic safety rod was missing. I just function tested it this AM, and everything works fine.

I wish I had some more before pics, but you know what a crusty shotgun looks like.

Looks nice CHAZ, did you fit the new pad to it as well? If so it looks like you did a good job.

Yes, and that was the first time I did that too. The pad I got was HUGE!! I think I sanded away more than what I left. The stock had been cut previous, and I am a big guy, so I was left with few options.

Well I shot a round of sporting clays, and one round of wobble trap with the old girl and she came through just fine. I left a few targets out there, but I don't know that I would have shot better with anything else. The left ejector got "weak" towards the end (after about 60 rounds fired) but a good scrubbing and some oil had it working well again in no time. I wouldn't want to shoot 10,000 registered targets a year with it, but as much as I shoot (and as many other choices as I have in the safe) it should work just fine. Next time out will be the Great Northeast shoot.

I used B&P 1 ounce target loads, and they seemed to work very well. They claim some recoil reduction in thier hull design, and since the head of my stock is held together with acraglass and good intentions I thought it couldn't hurt.
